Epic Games has announced their new battle royale game, ‘Fortnite’. While the release date was originally set for this summer, it is now scheduled for August 26th. The free-to-play Battle Royale title sends one million players onto an island to fight it out to win big dollars and amazing prizes. These include a $1 million first place prize as well as a $250,000 cash prize to the winner. But this isn’t your regular Runescapeclone. Fortnite features stunning graphics and new tech such as Google’s WebGL which makes the game run faster than ever before.
It also has competitive multiplayer modes with up to 32 players per match. These are all played on massive 3D maps which have been built with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 technology.
